Riello UPS’s ongoing partnership with nationwide wildlife conservation organisation GreenTheUK sees us sponsor the planting of thousands of climate-resilient trees across the UK.
For the 2024-25 period, we’ve pledged to plant 4,000 trees, a doubling of our commitment of 2,000 during our first year of the collaboration.
As well as these community tree planting projects, we’re also proud to support the GreenTheUK ‘Trees for Schools’ initiative.
This involves the group going into schools to deliver bespoke planting workshops that encourage children to learn about the importance of trees, as well as creating green learning spaces that benefit the youngsters’ health and wellbeing.
We donated 100 trees each to the following 3 schools:
In addition to tree planting, we are also supporting GreenTheUK this year to restore approximately 150m2 of native oysters in the Solent off the south coast of England.
Native oysters are classified as a priority species in the UK government’s Biodiversity Action Plan, and a healthy, self-sustaining oyster population has a positive impact on our ecosystem.
