Warranty Extension 3, 4 and 5 years
For customers who really want to plan their life cycle costs a warranty extension helps to cover unexpected problems and can include some battery types.
All Riello UPS are covered by a standard warranty. For UK customers this can be extended from 3 to 5 years provided that it is taken out within 60 days of delivery date. UPS with an extended warranty are entered into the Riello UPS Ltd service database and are traceable via serial number, reseller and where available the customer site. The difference between a warranty extension and a maintenance plan is that the maintenance provides a guaranteed response time even up to 4 clock hours on a 24-7 basis.
The longer warranty covers parts (including for UPS up to 3kVA internal batteries) and is subject to the following:
- The warranty is subject to the normal terms of use of the UPS
- The response time is that for the standard warranty unless the unit is covered by a maintenance plan.

Battery Package 5 years
This provides the customer with a 5 year battery warranty for sites, that have purchased an annual health check, and have battery packs supplied with 10 year design life batteries. An alternative to this is to consider regular on-site battery testing.
